1. Log in to your WhaleFin HK account, click [] - [Identity Verification].
2. Select [Individual Verification] and click [Verify Now].
3. Select country or region of residence and click [Next].
4. Professional Investor Verification: Read WhaleFin HK PI policy, upload your filled PI assessment form and one or more of the following documents issued or submitted within the last 12 months.

Statement of account or a certificate issued by a custodian.

Certificate issued by an auditor or a certified public accountant.

Public filing submitted by or on behalf of the individual.
Note: WhaleFin HK will only onboard and serve customers that are deemed “Professional Investors” as defined under the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Ordinance (“SFO”). All customers would need to complete the Professional Investor Assessment Form as part of their onboarding process.
5. Information Collection: Complete the identity information section, namely Personal Information, Employment Information and Financial Information.
6. Identity Verification: Select the ID type and country of issue, and upload your identity documents.
7. Address Verification: Input your residential address and upload proof documents.
- Copy of a valid and current driver's license that includes an existing address, date of issue (if any), or date of expiry (if any).
- Utility bill issued within the last six (6) months and displays name as per registration.
- Bank statement issued within the last six (6) months by a regulated financial institution.
8. Confirm "Declaration and Confirmation" to complete your identity verification request.
A review will be done and is expected to be completed within 10 business days. You will receive an email or text notification when it is done.
